My friends and I had the opportunity of travelling to Japantown in San Francisco in late April. It was only a day, but I wish I could have stayed longer, gone to more places. On the car ride to San Francisco, my heart was peaceful, my pulse was steady, watching the people I don't get to see enough of. There were so many unique items being sold, my friends wanted me to buy gifts for myself, but talking to the people in the stores was better than any gift. They gave me advice, wished me well on my own journey to Japan in a year, and complimented me on my Japanese. I treasure these moments, they give me fuel for the motivation I had almost forgotten. It really was a lovely day! ♡
