granola bars and sunburns

Hellooo everyone! It's been a little while since my last post. I wanted to share some pictures with you of my close friends and their eccentric children. We all went to the park several days ago, on a day where the sun stained the clouds. The heat clung to our skin for dear life. It was really hot! Too hot for February, in my opinion. I'm glad I went with them, I got to spend some time with my god babies <3

dearly departed

Hello everyone! I've been meaning to post this shoot for about a week now, but I've been trying to juggle other photography experimentations, and my story-writing. I'm finally finished! This shoot is mostly experimental - I wanted to experiment more with flour, and my epiphany was that sugar might have been a little easier! This shoot was so fun because the model, Alicia, is actually an old friend who I hadn't seen in years: since before I left China. So, this shoot was kind of a re-connection between us. I'm sure you won't see the last of this girl!

Sun was hurting Alicia's eyes in the beginning.

Throwing flour at the model XD

Experimentations with bird overlays. I wanted the birds to be bigger...

Wherever you are in the world, I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day!

warmth breathing down our necks

I have something from the past that I wanted to share with you all. Exactly a year ago, rather than now where I'm sitting on this couch with the cold hugging my skin close, I was in Taiwan with Cindy where endless rays of sun whispered to us. Taiwan was so amazing! Nothing like mainland China. I can remember when we first stepped off the plane, and we had all of our winter clothes on from China, and we instantly started to sweat! We explored little alley ways, bought endless amounts of bubble tea, and met up with people from Cindy's past. All in all, I wish I could have stayed there longer (haha) but, 10 days was a nice amount of time to explore Tainan. Looking back now, I can't believe how fast 2013 has gone by. I just can't, I feel like I was in Taiwan months ago, and that I should still be in my little apartment in Kai Gong Hu Tong. Life is funny sometimes. I felt so nostalgic choosing these pictures to show you all, they made me want to go back with Cindy this year. I hope you enjoy them! (Warning: this will be a long post!)

Still in Taipei, we were waiting for the bus to Tainan.
